Light Up the Runway

Amphibian Stage

Our festival kickoff is a staff & audience favorite–Light up the Runway. Think Project Runway with mystery ingredients a la Chopped and the campy flourish of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Your favorite Fort Worthians team up in hopes of being named “Best Amateur Fashion Designers.” When it’s time for the show, we’ll take our seats in the theatre to laugh, celebrate, and crown a winner. It’s pretty great.

As we gather for Light Up The Runway, local artists from ‘All About Henna’ will create intricate and mesmerizing tattoo-like traditional body art called Henna starting at 6:30.

This event is part of our enthralling two-week adventure, SparkFest 2023. Explore other SparkFest events.

If you also need help in this area then join us for an industry panel only at Amphibian Stage. Three professional comedic writers and performers, Paul Varghese, Julia Cotton, and Ashley Ray, explain their journey from notebooks and open mics to being featured on HBO, Comedy Central, NBC, ABC, Adult Swim, VICE and Cosmopolitan.
