Julia Estelle Cotton is a Dallas based performer, producer and writer. After participating in Dallas’ storytelling production, Oral Fixation, as a performer and later Assistant Director, Julia began the storytelling program at Dallas Comedy House. There, she launched Gettin’ It, a show featuring hilarious true stories of women getting what they need by going for what they want. She continues to teach storytelling workshops for people of all ages across Texas. She co-founded the Dallas-based, all black sketch troupe, FCC Presents, dedicated to creating socially relevant live comedy experiences. You may have seen Julia on WFAA where she served as host and producer of digital content, including “on-the-street” interviews, viewer watch parties and various audience engagement pieces. Julia has a passion for helping people find their voice, tell their story, and understand that they belong everywhere they are.
