Danny Quintero is more than thrilled to make his Amphibian Stage debut! A recent graduate from the University of Houston, a few recent credits include Mercutio (Romeo and Juliet) and Claudio (Measure for Measure) with the Prague Shakespeare Company, Darren (It Happened In Jefferson Square) at the Ensemble Theatre, along with Feste (Twelfth Night) and Leo (Big Love) at the University of Houston School of Theatre and Dance. He has also enjoyed working with 4th Wall Theatre on their Summer Shakes program and the Sankofa Collective on their production of The Bodyguard! He would love to thank his family for the endless support, Amphibian Stage for the warm welcome, and Allison Pistorius, who introduced him to these splendid artists in the first place.

Gloria Vivica Benavides is thrilled to make her mainstage debut at Amphibian! David Lugo makes his Amphibian Stage debut. Audiences may recognize his work at Dallas Theatre Center (The Rocky Horror Show, Clue, In The Heights, Our Town, Oedipus El Rey, White Rabbit/Red Rabbit); WaterTower Theatre (Elliot, A Soldiers Fugue; Guadalupe in the Guestroom); Uptown Players (Angels in America, Angels in America Part 2: Perestroika; Cath Me If You Can, The Prom); Theatre Three (The Fantasticks, The Minotaur); Stage West (Witch); Undermain Theatre (MacBeth, Hyacinth McCaw, Beginner, So Go the Ghosts of Mexico); Theatre Arlington (Fly by Night, Big Fish) to name a few. David is one half of the improv comedy duo “Lugo and Long”. David is an actor and voiceover artist represented by the Kim Dawson Agency.

Amanda Reyes is a Tejana actor and filmmaker based in Fort Worth, Texas. She has a B.A. in Media Arts from UNT and an M.F.A. in Directing Narrative Cinema from Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema in Brooklyn, NY. Her theater credits includes The Diaries of Adam and Eve, The Butterfly’s Evil Spell, Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Thyona in Big Love at Hip Pocket Theater, The Texas Book of Beats at Arts Fort Worth, My Brother and Sister with Wings at Artes de la Rosa Theater and The Teacher in Amphibian Stage’s The Visit. She is beyond thrilled to be returning to Amphibian Stage in this incredible production with such an outstanding cast and crew.

Gigi Cervantes is excited to make her Amphibian Stage debut! Gigi has appeared on many area stages and regional theaters, and recent credits include The Actress in The Way She Spoke (Undermain Theatre), Dotty Otley/Mrs. Clackett in Noises Off (Theatre Arlington), Imaculada in Man Cave (Kitchen Dog Theater), Amalia in American Mariachi (Cleveland Playhouse, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, the Goodman Theatre and Dallas Theater Center), and Mrs. Webb in Our Town (Dallas Theater Center). Gigi is also an award-winning singer/songwriter, a marathon runner, and an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, and has recently returned to teaching Theatre at the Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts.

Jovane Caamaño is thrilled to be making theatre with Amphibian Stage again!

Other regional theatres with which he’s worked include Kitchen Dog Theater, Stage West Theatre, Circle Theatre, Undermain Theatre, Theatre Three, Hip Pocket Theatre, Danielle Georgiou Dance Group, Theatre Arlington, and Second Thought Theatre. He also performed in three seasons of the Trinity Shakespeare Festival, multiple readings with MusicalWriters.com, and in Wishing Star Productions’ national tour of Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer the Musical.

Jovane earned his BFA in Theatre with an emphasis in Musical Theatre from TCU. He is passionate about his work teaching theatre and other fine arts at Key School and Training Center in Fort Worth and teaching with Story Stage.

Bethany Mejorado is OVER THE MOON to be making her Amphibian Stage debut after serving as the Marketing and Special Events Apprentice in 2023. Acting credits include: The Odyssey (Shakespeare Dallas), Poor Clare (Stage West), The Butterfly’s Evil Spell (Theatre Three). She holds a BFA in Acting from The University of Texas at Arlington c/o May 2023 and is a full time educator teaching pre k-5th grade theatre in an ISD. She would like to thank Evan, Kathleen, and Jay for giving her this opportunity! She would like to thank her family for their constant outpouring support and signing her up for theatre camp in 2010. Rudy Lopez is more than excited to be making his Amphibian Stage Debut. He is a Stage and VO actor. He was seen in roles such as, Telemachus in The Odyssey, Flute in Midsummer Night’s Dream and Oswald in King Lear at Shakespeare Dallas. Other favorite roles include Landscaper in Native Gardens at Dallas Theater Center. Mr. Beaver in The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe at Dallas Children’s Theater. Cara Mia Theatre’s Bless Me Ultima as Narciso. Ensemble/Swing in The Butterfly’s Evil Spell with Theatre Three. He can also be heard in some of your favorite animes like One Piece, Twilight Out Of Focus, Apothecary Diaries, Bye Bye Eart, The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic, Dead Mount Death Play and many more! Samantha Padilla is thrilled to make her Amphibian Stage debut! She was most recently seen as Jen Martinez in Olivia O. at the She DFW Arts festival, Woman 2 in the Theatre Too production of I Love You You’re Perfect Now Change, Badass Betty in the Lyric Stage production of The Great American Trailer Park Musical, Officer Randy Osteen in Theatre Arlington’s production of Superior Donuts, Sister Mary in Runway Theatre’s production of Disaster!, and Miss Mazeppa/Miss Cratchitt in Gypsy at Theatre Arlington. Some other favorite roles include Daniela/In The Heights, Paulette/Legally Blonde, Melpomene/Xanadu, Magenta/The Rocky Horror Show, and Linda/The Wedding Singer. She would like to thank Evan, Sophia, and Amphibian for this amazing opportunity and her friends and family for their encouragement and support.

Carrie Viera is thrilled to be making her Amphibian Stage debut! Her favorite credits include playing Baby in Curse of the Puerto Ricans at Bishop Arts Theatre Center and Zoe from The October Playlets at Stage West. She was most recently in the Banned Books Festival The Sum of Us at BATC, where she had the opportunity to perform in several short plays—one of which was written by the Amazing, Fabulous, and Spectacular Kathleen Culebro! Carrie is excited to once again be part of Kathleen’s work (and this time, the play is longer!) “Forever grateful to my supportive loved ones and friends.”

Born and raised in Mexico City, Kathleen is the Founding Artistic Director of Amphibian Stage, where she has produced over 100 plays in Fort Worth and New York – most of them world, US, or regional premieres. She has taught Screenwriting and Stage Makeup at Texas Christian University and proudly serves on the board of the Women’s Policy Forum. Also a playwright, Kathleen is the author of La Llorona, which premiered off-Broadway at Theatre Row in a production by Stageplays Theatre Company in 2007 and which has received productions around the country. A Leopard Complains of Its Spots premiered at the Pantheon Theatre in New York in 2001 with an extended run. Her play Smart Pretty Funny premiered at Amphibian Stage in 2016 and has since been produced in Australia and at other venues in the US.

Evan is a Fort Worth-based actor, photographer, and designer. His work has been seen at the Dallas Theater Center, Second Thought Theatre, Undermain Theatre, Stage West Theatre, Trinity Shakespeare Festival, Amphibian Stage, and more. Evan holds a BFA in Acting from Texas Christian University. Evan is represented by the Kim Dawson Agency.

Paige Hathaway is a DC-based scenic designer. Previously at Amphibian Stage, she designed Miss Molly. Born in Mexico City, Laura Anderson Barbata is a Mexican transdisciplinary artist currently based in New York and Mexico City. Since 1992 has initiated long-term projects and collaborations in the Venezuelan Amazon, Trinidad and Tobago, Mexico, Norway, and the United States that address social justice and the environment. Her work often combines performance, procession, dance, music, spoken word, textile arts, costuming, papermaking, zines and protest.
Her work is in various private and public collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; el Museo de Arte Moderno, México D.F.; and Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary. Recipient of the Anonymous Was a Woman Award; grants from FONCA Mexico; Mario Trujillo García Defense for Human Rights Award, Mexico; Rockefeller Bellagio Artist in Residence, among others.

Her work for theater includes Leonce and Lena, 2002, Amphibian Stage; The Qyixotic Days and Errants Nights of the Knight Errant Don Quijote, 2015, Amphibian Stage; Companionship, 2019, Forth Worth Opera; and Marie Antoinette, 2022, Amphibian Stage.

Laura Anderson Barbata teaches at MIT/Art, Culture and Technology program in Cambridge, and is Honorary Fellow of the Latin American, Caribbean and Iberian Studies LACIS Program. University of Wisconsin, Madison. She is currently on the Board of Directors of the College Art Association where she also serves as VP for Diversity and Inclusion.

Leann Burns received her BA from The University of North Texas and M. Ed. from Southern Methodist University and currently works as the Performing Arts Building Manager for Greenhill School. Her previous design credits include Witch! at Stage West, Once at Theatre Three, The Last Five Years, Silent Sky, The Grapes of Wrath, and many more at Water Tower Theatre. In addition, Leann is an accomplished jewelry designer, creating one-of-a-kind artisan pieces in her spare time.

Claudia Jenkins-Martinez is a Sound Designer based in Dallas Texas. Recent works include: The Little Mermaid, Dallas Theatre Center; Pirates of Penzance, Theatre Three; Prisontown, Savannah Repertory Theatre; Native Gardens, Stage Door Theatre; Deathtrap, Theatre Three; A Tell Tale Heart, Pittsburgh Public Theater; I Wanna F*cking Tear You Apart, Stage West; Steel Magnolias, Pittsburgh Public Theater; Trouble In Mind, Dallas Theater Center, Hamlet, Shakespeare Dallas, Stede Bonnet: A F*cking Pirate Musical, Theatre Three. Sophia Lang is a recent graduate of Baylor University where she earned her BFA in Theatre Design and Technology. She is a stage manager and sound designer based in the DFW area. Some of Sophia’s recent credits include: Stage Manager for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Stage Manager for Friends, Audio Mixer for James And The Giant Peach, and Sound Designer for The Comedy of Errors. She feels privileged to have also worked with Rowlett Summer Musicals for the past five years as their Communications Manager and Stage Manager on many productions including Legally Blonde, Beauty and the Beast, and Matilda. Sophia is excited to be working with Amphibian Stage alongside a lovely creative team!

Levi Richey is a graduate of UT Arlington with a bachelors in musical theatre. He is proud to have been a part of many productions at Amphibian including IMSTRUCTIOMS FOR A SEANCE and MARIE AND ROSETTA. Levi is also a makeup artist and currently studying wig building. @goodmoringitslevi on all platforms.

Bella is a production designer, art director, prop builder, and scenic artist. She received her B.A. in technical theatre from West Texas A&M University. Bella now works as a freelancer in advertising, film, and theater. She worked recently as the production designer for 2022 Lone Star Film Festival official selection Pool Service and 2022 Micheaux Film Festival and 2022 National Black Film Festival official selection Blue Porcelain. Her work with Amphibian Stage includes the props design and scenic painting for The Hollow and Miss Molly along with scenic painting for Spaceman and Baba.

Jeff Stanfield is a graduate of Texas Christian University. After spending eight and a half seasons with Dallas Children’s Theater, he is pleased to have returned to Fort Worth with Amphibian Stage. You may have seen him on stage under the open Texas sky at the Hip Pocket Theatre in such productions as Love Letters to a Raven, Loop the Loop, In Watermelon Sugar, The Lake Worth Monster and Don Quixote.
