The youngest child of immigrants, Dante grew up stomping around in the suburbs of Dallas. Growing up and never fitting in, Martinez’s story finger-paints a picture of a young man trying to find himself while always disappointing his parents. Starting from going to college to learn how to become an actor to waiting tables deep into his adulthood, he tells the story of a first generation working class Latino artist trying to figure out why people are laughing at him?
