This year the endlessly charming Drew Wutke introduces two new faces to Amphibian Stage: Broadway’s Tari Kelly and DFW favorite Lauren Urso.

Expect holiday classics, broadway favorites, and a boozy sing-a-long.

TARI KELLY: Tari has proudly been in 7 Broadway shows which include: Mr. Saturday Night ( OBC – Principal Standby /Dance Captain); Groundhog Day (OBC – Mrs. Cleveland, Naturopath, Piano Teacher), Something Rotten! (Bea u.s./performed, Miranda/Ensemble), Anything Goes (OBC Roundabout Revival – Reno Sweeney u.s./replacement, Ensemble), The Boy from Oz (OBC – Liza Minnelli u.s./performed, Trio/Ensemble), How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Mama Who), Show Boat (OBC Revival – Ellie and Kim u.s./performed, Ensemble).  She has also been seen on the National Tours of Anastasia (Countess Lily), Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey), Show Boat (Ellie), and Beauty and the Beast (Silly Girl/Ensemble).  In addition to her Broadway and Tour credits, she has starred in over 50 shows regionally throughout her career.  Some of her favorites include:  Anything Goes (Reno Sweeney – Carbonell Award for Best Actress ), End of the Rainbow (Judy Garland – Henry Award for Best Actress), Thoroughly Modern Millie (Millie – Jeff Nomination for Best Actress), Once Upon a Mattress (Winnifred), Damn Yankees (Lola), The Drowsy Chaperone (Janet), and White Christmas (Judy Haynes).  She can be heard on the Original Broadway Cast recordings of Groundhog Day, Anything Goes, The Boy from Oz, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas, as well as numerous volumes of Carols for a Cure.   Additionally, she has performed on the Tony awards, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, The Today Show, Good Morning America, Jimmy Fallon, The View, and The Late Show with David Letterman. Lauren Urso Gray is a Dallas-based crossover singer and Musical Theatre actor. As a performer, Lauren has sung across the world from New York City’s 54 Below to the Tianjin Conservatory of Music in Tianjin, China. Professional Musical Theatre credits include Vivian Kensington in Legally Blonde (Garland Summer Musicals), Sheri Christian in Rock of Ages (Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma), Portia in Something Rotten (Garland Civic Theatre), Judy Bernly in 9 to 5 (Garland Summer Musicals), Rocky Horror (Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma), and Legally Blonde: In Concert (54 Below, NYC). As a classical artist, Lauren is an awarded soloist with the University of Texas’ Butler Opera Center Young Artist Program and has sung with the Fort Worth Opera. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre and Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Oklahoma City University.

DREW WUTKE (Music director and orchestrator) is happy to return for another season with Amphibian! One of NYC’s most in-demand multidisciplinary artists, creating at the piano, studio, or stage alongside Tony, Emmy, and Grammy winners. Recent solo shows include Kelli O’Hara, Mason Park ft Stephen Trask, Billy Gilman, and MCC’s Miscast Gala. He has many shows in development, including a musical based on Say Yes to the Dress. In 2020, he rocked Live from Lincoln Center with Stephanie Blythe/Blythely Oratonio. He is featured on PBS’ Great Performances, Playbill and in NYTimes, The New Yorker, Time Out, and UK’s Observer, and is the first solo award-winning piano bar entertainer at Marie’s Crisis.

Other Bway/Off-Bway/Tour credits incl Fiasco/McCarter’s award-winning revival of Into the Woods; he is co-creator/MD of Kevin Smith Kirkwood’s Classic Whitney: Alive! concert series at Joe’s Pub/The Public; he is the other half of Michelle Dowdy’s Rowdy Dowdy Hour, a pianist at Kinky Boots on Bway, performs frequently with Natalie Joy Johnson, and can often be found at 54Below.
