Workshop: Fun with Comedy for Kids: Character Monologues for Kids

JULY 25, SparkFest

Workshop: Fun with Comedy for Kids: Character Monologues for Kids

This workshop, designed for ages 9 to 13, is all about creating funny characters that can be used in sketch, standup, plays, or on TikTok. Guided exercises will help you write fictional monologues, which you’ll get to try out in a supportive environment. Bring something to write with!
Taught by Ben Fort, a Fort Worth comedian, Second City graduate, and writer of sketches, plays, scripted podcasts, and a musical. You can see him perform at Theatre Arlington’s monthly Comedy Club, which he also directs.
This class is two hours long. All Fun with Comedy youth classes will end with a performance for friends and family on Friday, July 29, at 11am.

This event is a part of Spark Fest, our annual Summer celebration of groundbreaking and exciting new art.
